Digitizing library resources is very time
consuming. If you are interested in
volunteering your time with this very
important initiative let us know. You can
work from home on all of the projects listed
below. The Murphy Library Endowment has
funded several digitization projects. We
would love for you to contribute to the
Murphy Library Endowment in order for us to
continue our digitization initiatives.
Volunteering Projects (Please contact us
before starting any of these):
- We have digitized the
Wisconsin
Labor Advocate newspaper and want to make
the text of the newspaper keyword
searchable. We OCRed the text but the
software had a lot of problems reading the
words correctly and we want to proof read
and correct the spelling or perhaps
retyping from scratch. All you need is a
word processor to edit a simple .txt file.
- We have digitized the
