About the Author

Dr. Morgan earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and women’s studies from UC Santa Cruz and a doctorate in social ecology from UC Irvine. She has taught at UW-La Crosse since 1993 serving as the chair of psychology for seven years and the assistant to the provost for three. She teaches several courses including introductory psychology, social psychology, group dynamics, and psychology of women. In addition, she directs the Psychology Department’s Honors Program teaching the honors seminar wherein student s develop proposals for independent research. Dr. Morgan has advised many undergraduate projects several of which have won research awards and two of which have been published. She currently serves as the faculty advisor for the local chapter of Psi Chi (honors society in psychology) and will serve as the Vice President for the Midwestern Region of Psi Chi through 2010. Dr. Morgan won the College of Liberal Studies “Recognition of Excellence of Teaching” Award in 2005. Dr. Morgan is an author or co-author on over 20 peer reviewed publications and is currently completing an online gender psychology textbook.

Dr. Ann Korschgen was the director of career services at UW-L for many years prior to assuming the role of the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at the University of Missouri-Columbia
